Size: 31-40mm

Silvery grey when viewed from the ground as it takes short flights above the canopies of medium-tall trees. Favours Oak where it lays its eggs. Crawls about the foliage and rests with wings closed or basks with wings open. In trees with dense canopies along sunny woodland edges. Use binoculars.
