Size: 58-63mm

Our largest white butterfly is, like the Brimstone, a strong flyer and can be seen almost everywhere, although it is less common on high ground. It has bold black spots and black wing tips which extend down the edge of the wing. The underside of the hindwings are pale greenish- yellow. Food plant brassicas. Widespread resident and migrant.
